The typical section of this 100-year old house formed the base for a fundamental renovation project.
Through its location on a dyke, the street level entrance is elevated a full floor above the garden level on the other side of the house.
In this project the two levels have been combined to form a new spatial and light mezzanine-void composition.
The connection between the different programs has become more direct and the garden is integrated with the house as if it were an extra room.
